Using Tradecue means agreeing to these.

1. What Tradecue is

We collect planning applications that UK councils publish, put them in one searchable place, and let you watch areas, track applications and write letters about them. We are not a council, we are not affiliated with any local planning authority, and we do not decide anything about an application.

2. Your account

One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself, turn on two-step verification if you can, and tell us if you think somebody else is in your account. You must be 18 or over. A Tradecue account is for a trade.

3. What the service costs

There is a free plan and a paid one, set out on the pricing page. The free plan searches within one mile of a postcode or town and does not save, watch or send you anything. The paid plan is £29.99 a month for every feature, at any radius we offer. Prices are as shown: we are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add on top.

Payment is taken by Stripe, on their own checkout page. We never see or store your card number. The paid plan runs monthly and renews until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment; access runs to the end of the month already paid for.

4. Accuracy, and what we do not promise

Everything you see is a copy of what a council published, collected on a delay. Councils publish at different speeds, in different formats, and sometimes wrongly.

So: the council’s own portal is the authoritative record, every lead links to it, and you should check there before you rely on anything — before you quote, before you post, before you turn up. We do not guarantee that our copy is complete, current or correct. Our coverage page lists the authorities we read.

5. Letters you send are yours

You write the letter and you decide who it goes to. You can print it yourself, or ask us to print, stamp and post it through our mailing house (Stannp). Either way it is your letter: you are responsible for what it says, for it being honest about who you are, and for following the law on direct marketing.

If we post it for you, we pass the letter and the postal address to Stannp so they can print and send it. We do not change the wording. You remain the data controller for that use of the address; we and Stannp only handle the posting.

• Addressed post to a household does not need consent, but you must stop writing to anyone who asks you to, and you should respect the Mailing Preference Service.
• The homeowner’s rights — to know where you got the address, to object, to be erased from your records — are owed by you.
• Do not use any of this to harass, mislead or pressure anybody, to imply you are acting for a council, or to contact someone who has told you to stop.

We hold no homeowner phone numbers or email addresses, because councils redact them before publishing.

6. Fair use of the data

The account is for finding your own work. You may not resell, redistribute or republish the data, scrape the site in bulk, or use it to build a competing product. Underlying planning data belongs to the councils and registers that publish it. Maps are served from our own servers.

7. Ending it

Close your account whenever you like, and it takes your data with it. We can suspend an account that breaks clause 5 or 6, or that puts the service at risk.

8. Liability

We provide the service as it is. We are not liable for lost profit, lost work, or a job that went elsewhere, or for anything that follows from data being late, missing or wrong. Nothing here limits liability the law does not let us limit.

9. Changes, and the law that applies

If we change these terms we will change the date at the top and tell you about anything significant. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
